Though building a custom home involves many steps and many details, for brevity’s sake we’ll reduce them here to the most important steps.
1. Getting To Know You
This begins with us responding to your first call or email. We’ll ask you questions pertaining to your home’s intended location, your stage in developing your house plan, your time frame for building, and so on. We’ll be happy to answer any questions you have regarding our background and construction philosophy, our availability and current backlog and so forth.
2. We Start With Your Plan or Vision
We will meet with you to get a better idea of your family’s needs and lifestyle, your design stage and favorite architectural style(s). If you need an architect, we can refer you to one, and if you have design plans, we will review them and discuss the changes you’re thinking of making to the plans. We will work on a preliminary estimate and construction plan, to show you and discuss with you.
3. Helping You Customize Your Plan
Most designs or architect’s concepts are modified to some degree, to fit our clients’ needs and, perhaps, to accommodate the shape or topography of the building lot. We will work with you to suggest alternatives in construction design and materials, paying special attention to materials and procedures that will save you money and/or will be friendly to the environment. We will also consult with our expert team of specialty subcontractors to hear their advice and recommendations. At the end of this process, we will have agreed with you upon a final construction design and features, as well as a final budget estimate and schedule.
4. Building Your Custom Home
Finally, we turn to the fun and exciting part of the process: transforming your dream design into a standing, functioning, and attractive reality. Though we rely on a number of subcontractors to perform specialized tasks, to ensure quality is maintained at every stage Jonathan and Brandon Yoder take a very active role in our client projects. We encourage you to visit the site, ask questions, be available — at least by phone and email — to answer our questions and provide guidance as needed. And while your home is, of course, the centerpiece of the project, we don’t neglect the overall site. Our goal is that your completed home shine like a jewel in its properly prepared setting.
5. Post-Construction Support
After your new home is complete and the necessary inspections and tests completed, Moving Day will arrive and you’ll settle in at last. But J.D. Yoder & Sons Construction will not disappear or forget you. We warranty all aspects of our work for a full year after completion (our contract documentation explains the exact warranty coverage). In addition, we will be available to discuss questions you may have, or to help arrange for any after-construction repairs that may be necessary. We proudly stand by our work.

What information do we collect?
We collect information from you when you register on our site, place an order, subscribe to our newsletter or fill out a form.

How do we protect your information?
We implement a variety of security measures to maintain the safety of your personal information when you place an order or access your personal information.
We offer the use of a secure server. All supplied sensitive/credit information is transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted into our Payment gateway providers database only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights to such systems, and are required to keep the information confidential.
After a transaction, your private information (credit cards, social security numbers, financials, etc.) will not be stored on our servers.
Do we use cookies?
